Safer Schools Together (SST) has been informed and is aware of a Snapchat school shooting threat circulating throughout school communities across multiple states.
SST’s Threat Analysts are now seeing it circulate across North America via Instagram and TikTok. The primary text seen in this Snapchat image is “hug your loved 1s tmr might be the last hug your getting.”
Given the mass distribution combined with the added on-screen text seen in these screenshots, we are confident this is a spam Snapchat image.
Our Threat Analysts will continue to work closely to address any immediate concerns raised.
If your teams identify students reposting the spam threat or disseminating information regarding this image, please have a conversation with them. This is an opportune time to remind students to report concerning content instead of reposting it.
